Sravan Shivaratri
Masik Shivaratri observed in the month of Sravan
is known as the Sravan Shivaratri.Devotees observe strict fast on this day.
They perform Shiv pooja and visit Lord Shiva temples.
Sawan Shivaratri is
observed in a grand manner in Uttarakhand, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya
Pradesh, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh and Bihar. In amavasyant calenders it is
observed in Ashadam month.
