Ashwin or Ashwayuja Month is Seventh Month of Hindu Calender.In North indian calendars Ashwin month starts with Pitru Paksha and ends with Sharad Poonam Lakshmi Puja. As per south indian calendars this month starts with Navratri Kalasha Sthapana and ends with Diwali Amavasya.
In Tamil calendar it is known as Aipassi and
for Bengalis it is Sixth month. It falls in the season of Sharad in
Hindi or Autumn.Ashvin means light in the Sanskrit language.As per Hindu Mythology Ashwin means
Divine Twins.
For north indians Ashwin month Begins from
September 17th, and ends on October 16th.
