Phalguna Masam 2017.

Phalguna Masam is the 12^th month as per traditional Hindu calendar. During this month the weather is neither too cold nor too hot. The new change in nature can be seen commencing from Vasant Panchami till Phalgun Purnima.

Ramayana War between vanaras and ravana was started on phalguna bahula padyami.The War between lakshmana and indrajith was started on phalguna bahula ekadasi and concluded on phalguna bahula trayodasi.Ravana vadha had occured on phalguna amavasya.Some of pandava and kauravas were born in this month. Lord Raghavendra swami was born on Phalguna Sukla Navami.

Lord Satyanarayana swamy is worshipped during this month. One should worship Lord Vishnu after taking bath in any holy river, lake, well or at home early in the morning of Phalgun Purnima. The one who donates, take bath in the holy river, offers food to the Brahmin on Phalgun Purnima is blessed with wealth, prosperity, happiness and offspring. 

As per Purnimant calender Phalguna  month starts on 11th February 2017 and ends on 13^th March 2017.

As per Amavasyant Calender Phalguna month starts on 27th February 2017 and ends on 28th March 2017.
