Cow is worshiped as sacred animal by Hindus. Worshiping Gomatha is
considered Auspicious by Hindus,Gomatha is also called as Kamadhenu. There is nothing that is more sacred or sanctifying than cows. The
Gomatha as the name says She plays the role of a mother giving enlightment of
Truth, Wisdom and Prosperity. One who adores and does puja is granted all the
desires and has the blessings of the three main Goddesses Lakshmi, Durga and
Saraswathi.
The Atharva Veda says the cow’s body represents various devas and other
divine beings. The Mahabharata, Harivamsa Purana, Manu Smriti and other
literature eulogise the cow. In short, Lord Krishna is referred to as Go-pala –
